FAQs

  • Buckbrush Studio is in a remote area of the Yukon, we canoe our supplies and products across the Klondike, and when we do get to town we are only able to ship with Canada Post.

We do everything possible to ship in a timely fashion, but our remote location means that the delivery times you expect from larger or more centralized businesses are not possible for us. We appreciate your patience and promise our work is worth any waiting!

  • All of our designs start out as hand drawn images. Some of our products I then print by hand in my studio, others are printed by trusted local businesses here in Dawson. If local suppliers are not available, I work hard to find Canadian businesses whose practices align with my concerns for workers and the environment.

  • Buckbrush is a common name for several species of shrubs that grow here in the Yukon, and usually describes willows and dwarf birch that grow in windswept and marshy locations.

Buckbrush can be challenging to move through, but when you’re tangled up in it you have the opportunity to appreciate the resilience of a plant that can grow in all kinds of inhospitable places.
